Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan commented on the possibility of organizing visits of prisoners' relatives in Baku and Stepanakert.

His remarks came on Thursday during the joint press conference with his Dutch counterpart.

Asked to comment on the possibility of such visits, he expressed hope for the possibility of finding formats for organizing such steps.

"These are humanitarian steps, a humanitarian initiative, and an important detail in the context of trust," he said noting the sensitivity of the issue, recalling that the people in question, one of them, was responsible for the murder.

"An equally painful issue is our compatriots who find themselves in such a situation. We will continue to search for solutions. This is quite complicated. The format of the organization of visits is a humanitarian step, we will continue to think and seek solutions. One of the most important issues for me is the return of our compatriots to Armenia," he said.

By the way, three Armenians are being held in Baku. There are two captured in Stepanakert, both convicted of especially serious crimes.
