YEREVAN. – The debates in the National Assembly (NA) are not constructive because we are implementing the role of both the opposition and the government. NA vice-speaker Alen Simonyan from the majority My Step faction said this in a conversation with journalists today at parliament.

"The opposition has always stood out by talking about raising salaries, improving the economic situation," the NA deputy chairman said. “Today the government is giving the answers to all the questions, and the government itself is also an opposition. There is a crisis in something to say; that's why we are witnessing all this today."

According to Simonyan, the debates in the NA are not constructive. "We are implementing the role of both the opposition and the government," he said. “There are so many MPs registered to ask the Government questions that the sessions are extended until 8pm. The opposition today has a serious problem in something to say."
