The government aims to solve the problems in the field of medical education that have accumulated over decades, said Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan at a scientific conference amid the victory of Armenia in the HORIZON 2020 Twinning program.

According to him, Armenia has worthy traditions, and based on this, the authorities of the country are ready to work on restoring their former potential.

“The COBRAIN program will allow us to establish close ties with European universities, which will help solve several problems at once, including the issue of closer integration of science and practical medicine, as well as improving the level of higher education,” he said.

Armenia was for the first time recognized as the winner of the HORIZON 2020 Twinning program presented by Yerevan State Medical University in March 2019.
