In 2020, practical measures will be adopted within the scope of the Work Armenia Strategy. This is what Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia Arman Udumyan said during the event marking the end of the EU4Youth: Better Skills for Better Future regional program today.

According to him, the year 2019 was a year of development of the policy and action plan, and this year there will be meetings with the private sector and civil society representatives for the development of specific actions. He added that the EU4Youth: Better Skills for Better Future program is in line with the Armenian government’s aspiration to introduce a new quality education system. “It is important for schoolchildren and university students to gain not only narrow knowledge, but also skills that are required by employers,” the deputy minister emphasized.

The Work Armenia Strategy is targeted at the development of human capital, the promotion of employment and the increase of the living standard of people through institutional reforms and self-establishment of professionals.
