US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo commented on the conflict with American radio host Mary Louise Kelly, accusing her of lying and violating journalism and decency, Reuters reported.

Earlier, the NPR radio station reported Pompeo repeatedly swore at Kelly after her question on Ukraine, because he did not like that she asked questions about this country. During the interview, Pompeo noted he agreed to discuss the situation in Iran, but did not intend to discuss US policy with regard to Ukraine. After the interview, Pompeo invited the presenter to talk to. Kelly said the secretary of state asked her if she believes that Americans care about Ukraine, and then asked her to show on the map, without signatures, where Ukraine is.

“It is shameful that this reporter chose to violate the basic rules of journalism and decency. This is another example of how unhinged the media has become in its quest to hurt President (Donald) Trump and this Administration,” Pompeo said.

Pompeo hinted that the journalist Kelly could not correctly show Ukraine on the world map. Pompeo also noted in his statement that “Bangladesh is NOT Ukraine.”
