Within the framework of his working visit to Israel, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian visited the Technion—Israel Institute of Technology.

Sarkissian met with the leadership of the institute and then with the students. Professor Uri Sivan, the President of the Technion, said it was a great honor to host the Armenian president and a double honor to host a scientist president.

President Sarkissian noted that he first visited this university in the early 1990s when he was doing research in astrophysics and gravitation.

The President of Armenia noted that most young people today want to start a startup and have a new technology company.

According to the President, today we live in a new world.

President Sarkissian added, however, that humans will remain the most important beings, even in the case of the development of artificial intelligence.

Referring to the cooperation with Armenian universities, President Sarkissian spoke about the presidential ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) initiative in this context.

President Armen Sarkissian also spoke with the Armenian students studying at the Technion.
