Wounded serviceman, Private Henry-Hayk Zakarian has been transferred to Yerevan. This is what Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia Gabriel Balayan told reporters today.

“He has been transferred to Yerevan. A second surgical intervention as such hasn’t been performed yet since there is no need. We’re waiting for the doctors to decide. He is still in critical condition,” he said.

According to the deputy minister, the other wounded serviceman is in good condition and will return to military service soon.

As reported earlier, on January 24, at about 6:55am, Artsakh Defense Army servicemen Henri-Hayk Zakaryan (born in 2001) and Armen Mesropyan (born in 2000) sustained gunshot wounds at a Defense Army military unit located in a northerly direction, and under yet unknown circumstances. Zakaryan's health condition is assessed as critical. An investigation is underway to find out the details of the incident.
