YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: The YSU [Yerevan State University] Board of Trustees has scheduled meeting on January 31; the issue of the competition for filling the vacancy for the position of rector of the university is on the agenda. However, according to our information, the government has decided to organize sabotage because it has no preferred candidate [to this post].

Some members of the board will be absent from that meeting, and the meeting will be canceled due to lack of quorum, and therefore no elections will be held within the prescribed timeframe.
