Economic growth in Armenia in 2019 was nearly 8 per cent, while import growth was 9 per cent, said Armenian Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan at the Armenian-Jordanian business forum on Monday

According to him, the Armenian authorities intend to transform the political revolution into an economic one.

All conditions are created in Armenia for conducting profitable business, and the country's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union, which has an 183 millionth market, opens up serious opportunities for foreign investors, he said.

The Minister noted that the economic indicators, both in import and in export, between the two countries are currently low.

Jordanian businessmen are particularly interested in agriculture, they see the prospects of cooperation in the tourism sector, the possibility of creating joint ventures in the light industry, especially in the production of clothing, he concluded.
