The American company Tesla withdraws 15 thousand SUVs of Model X due to a possible problem that could lead to loss of control over the power steering, Reuters reported.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Transport Canada said aluminum nuts could break, leading to the loss of power steering on some vehicles. Thus, 14,193 vehicles in the US and 843 in Canada will be recalled.

Transport Canada reports Tesla will replace the suspension bolts and will also change the steering gear if necessary.

Tesla Motors was founded in 2003 as a developer and manufacturer of electric vehicles and related technologies. The company is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, US. The company manufactures batteries and electric motors using its own technology and sells it to other automobile companies, particularly Toyota and Daimler.
