Wide-format discussions on the law on political parties are underway, and the procedure for funding political parties will also be revised by this law. This is what Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan declared during the government’s session yesterday.

“I believe the functioning of political parties in a parliamentary country are a major factor for future political processes. It is very important for these discussions to be as inclusive as possible. I also believe gone are the times when the activities of a political party were linked to bad or negative phenomena. I think the amendments to the law on political parties will help us stimulate young Armenians to have the desire and interest to be involved in politics and in the activities of political parties because it is very important for political parties to grow and raise the level of their activities to a higher level,” Avinyan said.
