YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: We had written that the Yerevan Municipality has decided to change the transport network and was trying to get loans for it.

They are negotiating with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development—the EBRD. [Mayor] Hayk Marutyan has asked the EBRD to allow starting the process, announce the tender for the purchase of buses before the process of announcing the loan tender for buses, which is not allowed by the EBRD regulation (the tender must be announced at the end).

The goal is to bring 100 buses and start operating [them] by fall. Will the EBRD allow it? "It's hard to say; they are negotiating. Hayk must be able to manage by the end of February. Otherwise, he will not be able to manage by summer, as he promised to the Prime Minister."
