YEREVAN. – Within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with his Iraqi counterpart, Mohamed Ali Alhakim, the Armenian Foreign Ministry press service reported.

They emphasized that the Armenian-Iraqi relations stand out with their dynamics. In this context, Mnatsakanyan noted that work is being done to expand the diplomatic representation of the Republic of Armenia in Iraq.

The interlocutors attached importance to the further promotion of multilateral cooperation. The two sides underscored the special role of the Armenian community in the social and political life of Iraq and in the strengthening of friendship between the two countries.

The FMs of Armenia and Iraq also exchanged views on urgent international and regional issues. Zohrab Mnatsakanyan underlined that Armenia always keeps the focus on developments in the Middle East and attaches importance to relieving stressful situations.
