India made a sharp demarche against Turkey after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s comments on the state of Kashmir, reports PTI.

The Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared that Erdogan’s comments reflect neither understanding of history nor diplomacy and may have a serious impact on the relations between India and Turkey.

In his speech during a joint parliamentary session in Pakistan, Erdogan compared the “struggle” of the people of Kashmir with the Turkish nation’s struggle against other countries during WWI and expressed his support to Islamabad in regard to Kashmir.
