When asked if he is going to participate in the referendum for constitutional amendments in Armenia, Levon Kocharyan, son of second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, said he’s personally not planning to take part in an unlawful and unconstitutional process and added that the authorities are holding the referendum to have their representatives in the Constitutional Court.

When told that the authorities claim that the judges of the Constitutional Court have ties with the former authorities, Levon Kocharyan said they are trying to do everything they can to justify their actions and present legal grounds for their unlawful actions, stating that this is the people’s demand. “This is a lie because the people don’t have such a demand and don’t even know what the function of the Constitutional Court is, and this is normal because the people are concerned about other issues,” he said.
