Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan today received Special Representative of the European Union for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar, as reported the news service of the Ministry of Foreign Affair of Armenia.

The interlocutors touched upon the process of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the latest meetings held within the scope of this and attached importance to the need to convey real content to the agreements reached for preparing the peoples for peace. In this context, the foreign minister attached special importance to the impulses and messages that the heads of states give to their respective societies for peace and stated that Azerbaijan continues to publicly express maximalist positions that reject the rights of the people of Artsakh and don’t provide an opportunity to make progress in the peace process.

The parties also exchanged views on the multi-layer agenda of the EU-Armenia partnership and touched upon urgent global and regional issues.
