YEREVAN. – In the rural areas of Armenia, houses are built without any architectural plan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at today's session of the government, adding: "Any construction should be carried out with plan, permit, etc."

Pashinyan also referred to the construction of illegal mansions by former high-ranking officials. "These same high-ranking officials have made efforts to pass legislation on legalizing illegal buildings so that they build, finish [them] illegally, and today, for example, the Yerevan Municipality would have no other option than to legalize those buildings," the prime minister said in particular.

He instructed Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan to discuss the issue with the mayor of Yerevan and find solutions.
