Toyota Motor resumed Monday operation of its assembly plant in Chengdu, the administrative center of southwestern Sichuan. Thus, the activity of all four companies of the company in China has been restored, which was previously stopped due to problems associated with the spread of the new coronavirus, TASS reported referring to the NHK television channel.

Toyota Motor resumed work at three other plants in Changchun, Guangzhou and Tianjin the previous week. The corporation’s enterprises in China are 50% overloaded because they are still experiencing difficulties due to quarantine restrictions on production chains.

Toyota Motor planned to resume the activities of its enterprises in China at the very beginning of February after the end of the weekend on the occasion of the lunar New Year, then postponed it until February 10, however, the situation in China due to the spread of coronavirus did not improve and the dates were rescheduled.
