YEREVAN. – We are not fully satisfied with the course of negotiations on the Karabakh issue. Giro Manoyan, head of the Political Affairs Bureau and the Armenian Cause Office of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun Party of Armenia, said this in a conversation with journalists today.

According to him, the people of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) have expressed three times their will that they do not want to be part of Azerbaijan. "Today we must work towards the recognition of Karabakh's independence on the international level," Manoyan said. “Armenia’s foreign minister outlined in Bratislava the lines that Yerevan will not cross. Then we saw a mitigating rhetoric by the Prime Minister, who declared that Nagorno-Karabakh gained independence with the same right as Azerbaijan. As for the Munich event, it's not a negotiation, but just a debate [between the Armenian PM and the Azerbaijani president]. One can’t say that the so-called 'Munich Principles' have replaced the 'Madrid [Principles]' as the latter was proposed by the mediators. In general, this meeting gave nothing to the parties."
