A meeting of representatives of China, Russia, France, Germany, UK and Iran will take place in Vienna on February 26.

The parties will discuss the possibility of maintaining the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal.

UK, France and Germany officially on January 14 accused Iran of violating the terms of the 2015 arms control deal aimed at limiting Tehran’s nuclear program. Violations may result in the reintroduction of UN sanctions lifted in accordance with the deal.

The EU intends to extend indefinitely a mechanism for resolving disputes on a nuclear deal to avoid the need to apply to the UN Security Council or impose new sanctions, EU Chief Diplomat Josep Borrell said during a visit to Tehran on February 4.
