YEREVAN. – Past daily of Armenia writes: According to Past newspaper’s information, the authorities are actively preparing to hold a rally on another anniversary of [the] March 1 [2008 tragedy in Yerevan]. An annual march is planned to be held on that day, which [PM] Nikol Pashinyan will personally lead.

According to our source, instructions are given to ensure as many people as possible to show that there is a mass still following them.

It is also rumored that on that day the authorities will do their utmost to ensure additional emotion and euphoria.

Most likely, there will be no word on the [forthcoming] referendum [on constitutional amendments]; moreover, they will stop the [respective] campaign on that day. But according to our interlocutor, this very rally will be the actual start of the pre-election campaign for the referendum.
