Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, the chairman of Armenia’s National Assembly Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport, made a post on Facebook.

"A chess festivity is expected in Yerevan next summer," he wrote, in particular. “Our city will host an international chess tournament with the participation of high-quality [chess] grandmasters arriving from various countries.

Without opening all the brackets, I will say that it will be the largest and most representative open tournament ever held in Armenia."
