YEREVAN. - Zhoghovurd daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Yesterday (…) the “Yes” [campaign] headquarters organized a fundraising evening (…) to cover the expenses of the constitutional referendum campaign. And, as a result, more than 205 million drams were raised—without calculating bank transfers.

We were informed that the [ruling Civil Contract (CC)] party members, MPs had been told in advance to invite guests for that day who would also be able to raise money.

At the same time, there was an internal decision to see to it that there will be almost no businessmen at the fundraising evening, and at least 3-4 people would be present at the invitation of each campaigner, participant.

In addition to raising money, those present yesterday had the opportunity to also talk to the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan face to face, to try to find out from him personally what to do next.

There is a clear decision that [Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure] Suren Papikyan and [Deputy PM] Tigran Avinyan will be on vacation, whereas the other CC-member ministers and provincial governors will try to organize the [“Yes”] campaign after the end of working hours.
