YEREVAN. – I consider 2019 a successful year for Ararat Province, as 2019 stands out as compared to 2018, in terms of the subsidy programs being large in number, urgent programs, road construction, and the harvest received, Ararat Governor Garik Sargsyan told a news conference today, as he presented the work done in 2019 and future plans.

He noted that in 2018, only 4 subsidy programs were implemented in Ararat Province, whereas in 2019, a total of 80 such applications were submitted, 58 of which (1.5 billion drams) were approved and successfully implemented.

He emphasized that they have submitted 112 applications for subsidy programs in 2020 and hope that most of them will be approved. "According to preliminary estimates, the value of those projects is 4.4 billion drams," he added, in particular.

According to Sargsyan, 23 urgent projects, totaling about 400 million drams, were also implemented in 2019.
