YEREVAN. – Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, in Geneva, Switzerland.

The colleagues touched upon the Armenian-Greek friendly relations, the Armenian Foreign Ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Mnatsakanyan noted that Armenia highly appreciates the warm relations with Greece.

The two FMs reaffirmed their readiness to come up with joint initiatives aimed at deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, stressing that the Armenia-Greece-Cyprus trilateral format adopted last year complements this bilateral agenda. The interlocutors exchanged views on preparations for the first summit in this trilateral format to be held in Yerevan in April.

Positively assessing the level of political dialogue between Armenia and Greece, the Foreign Ministers stressed the importance of giving new impetus to high-level mutual visits and political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries.

FMs Mnatsakanyan and Dendias exchanged views also on pressing regional and international issues and the developments in the Middle East.
