YEREVAN. – I neither know the given organizations, or they cannot make manipulations that they are punitive measures against the former ones. Davit Sanasaryan, head of the State Oversight Service (SOS) of Armenia—and whose respective powers have been temporarily suspended, said this in a conversation with journalists today.

"From the very beginning I was thinking, what do I have to do with this case? What are they examining? Where have we appeared?" he said. It is clear that we are in court, but it is a process that has nothing to do with me. My goal was solely to provide the letter of the law. I neither know the given organizations, or they cannot make manipulations that they are punitive measures against the former ones.”

As reported earlier, the trial of Davit Sanasaryan and of some former SOS employees resumed today at a Yerevan court of first instance.

According to the indictment, Sanasaryan had used his official position as the SOS chief contrary to the interests of the service and failed to fulfill his official duties in this capacity.
