President of France Emmanuel Macron today visited the Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital in Paris where a patient died from Covid-19 coronavirus yesterday. As reported at the Elysee Palace, the aim of the visit was to calm down the French who are concerned about the spread of the epidemic, reports RFI.

“The President wants to send a “reassuring signal” to his citizens and “assure them about the mobilization of French medical services which are among the most effective in the world”,” the statement reads.

Nevertheless, at the hospital, Macron declared that France is facing the epidemic and must do its best to be prepared.
