Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan today received Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, who is on an official visit to Armenia, as reported the news service of the Office of the Prime Minister.

Welcoming the visit of the defense minister and his delegation to Armenia, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of the ongoing development of the Georgian-Armenian strategic relations and attached importance to the signing of the 2020 Plan for Cooperation between the Ministries of Defense of Georgia and Armenia in the defense sector.

Irakli Garibashvili stated that he is glad to visit the friendly Armenia once again and expressed satisfaction with the cooperation and meeting with his Armenian counterpart and attached importance to the signing of the 2020 Cooperation Plan.

Touching upon the challenges for regional security, Pashinyan and Garibashvili exchanged views on the peaceful settlement of conflicts and the importance of joint efforts in that direction.
