The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is under constant review of the CSTO, the organization’s general secretary, Stanislav Zas told reporters in Yerevan.

“If necessary, the CSTO will express its position on this conflict,” he said. “This has been done more than once.”

According to him, the CSTO stands for a peaceful resolution to the conflict, and sees only one way to solve the problem - a political.“Within the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group, and the work carried out by this group, relying on the norms and principles of international law, the UN Charter, the Helsinki Final Act,” he added.

Asked to comment on the incidents on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, Stanislav Zas noted if Armenia appeals for help to the CSTO member states, the organization will express its position and provide the necessary aid. “But now the Armenian government is independently dealing with these border incidents. We hope that the situation will be stabilized and clashes will be avoided,” he added.
