Is Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan doing the right thing by leaving it up to the public to fight against the coronavirus? In response to this question from a journalist today, deputy of the My Step faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Lilit Makunts said the leaders of all countries are calling on citizens to demonstrate social responsibility and personal responsibility.

“The government is responsible for its actions, but I don’t agree that the government is leaving it up to the public to fight against the coronavirus. The leaders of all countries are calling on citizens to demonstrate social responsibility and personal responsibility because the spread of the pandemic and the increase of the pace are due to each person’s actions, and making people understand this doesn’t mean leaving it up to the people to fight against the coronavirus. We all need to understand that a lot depends on us, and evidence of this is the developments unfolding in all parts of the world,” the deputy said.
