A task force of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia will explore all the facts of violations committed during elections starting from 1991. This is what Minister of Justice of Armenia Rustam Badasyan said in response to deputies’ questions in parliament today.

Badasyan added that the fact-finding group will comprise independent experts and will be funded from the state budget.

“By saying ‘independent experts’, we mean specialists who aren’t dependent on the government,” the minister said, adding that the experts will work in several areas.

“Firstly, they will explore the falsifications of results of votes during elections and referenda starting from 1991. Secondly, they will explore the cases of illicit enrichment, including at the expense of state funds,” Badasyan emphasized, adding that the fact-finding group will also explore the deaths of servicemen in the army.
