The Court of First Instance of Syunik Province of Armenia has extended for two months the detention of serviceman Davit Movsisyan—the son of former MP Arakel Movsisyan—who is accused in the case on the murder of fellow soldier Vahram Avagyan. Movsisyan's lawyer Gor Gevorgyan informed Armenian News-NEWS.am about this.

"After ‘suffering’ for three days, the court made an illegal decision. They had not taken any investigative action to prove Davit's action, would raise a reasonable doubt. They had two or three low-quality investigations that had been done before; they put those at the basis,” the attorney added.

To note, on January 30, Private Vahram Avagyan, a conscript of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Defense Army, had shot himself in the chest at an army training center, then was taken to a military hospital where he was later pronounced dead. A criminal case has been filed into this incident, and an investigation is underway.
