Editor-in-Chief of Aztag Daily Shahan Kandaharian today told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the events dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia were held online and sparked great interest in Lebanon.
According to him, bands and dance companies from the US, Lebanon and Armenia performed during the concert, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Lebanon Vahagn Atabekyan and well-known public and political figures delivered their speeches.
“The festivities were held the way they are always held in Lebanon since Lebanon is closely linked to the events that took place in the particular period of time. The last Prime Minister of the First Republic of Armenia Simon Vratsian, Minister of Public Education and Arts of the First Republic of Armenia Nikol Aghbalian, Levon Shant, Karo Sasuni and other figures are buried in Lebanon,” he stated.
