Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez said on Sunday that he would ask parliament to agree to extend lockdown until June 21, Reuters reported.

During the videoconference, Sanchez told regional leaders that this would be the last restriction introduced amid the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain.

Spain is one of the countries most hit by the pandemic.

According to the data, the COVID-19 death toll in Spain has reached 27,125, while the number of the total number of COVID-19 cases has reached 239,229.
