YEREVAN. – At the beginning of Monday’s sitting of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, the leader of the majority My Step faction, Lilit Makunts, asked for a 20-minute recess on behalf of the faction.

NA speaker Ararat Mirzoyan stated that the parliament would vote on the already-discussed bills, and announced a vote on the package of amendments to the Law on Police and to the Law on Service in the Police, presented by the government.

To note, this bill proposes to change the Traffic Police to Patrol Police.

Before the vote, however, Makunts announced that they would take a 20-minute recess.
