The Belgian prince Joachim, who tested positive for COVID-19, has apologized for attending a lockdown party in Spain, The Guardian reported.

According to him, he deeply regretted his actions and is ready to accept “all the consequences”.

As the Belgian palace noted the prince headed to Spain on 24 May to do an internship and had attended a 'family gathering' on 26 May.

Joachim was present at a party in Cordoba attended by 27 people, while gatherings with up to 15 guests are permitted.

The Spaniards reflected negatively on the irresponsible behavior of the Belgian prince.
