YEREVAN. – Naturally, those in Armenia who are responsible for the coronavirus pandemic must accept that the policies they have introduced and implemented have shortcomings, so those people must be released. Edmon Marukyan, leader of the opposition Bright Armenia Party and its parliamentary faction, noted about this in a talk with journalists in the National Assembly Wednesday.

"The number of [COVID-19-related] deaths we have, it is obviously impossible to turn the page without answering. But now we first have to get out of this situation, then talk about it. I don't think now is the time for that," he said.

And referring to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement that now is not the time to look for culprits, Marukyan said. "I said yesterday that now is not the time to look for culprits. The time will come, we will set up an inquiry committee in the National Assembly, and we will call everyone who is blame, we will talk about all that. Second, now is not also the time to put the blame on the people. Everyone should have an impact on this situation by their own example.”
