Second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan has filed a lawsuit against the Penitentiary Service with the demand to lift the restrictions on visits, as reported Kocharyan’s attorney Hayk Alumyan, adding that the restrictions on the visits are set under an incomprehensible principle because the restrictions need to be set upon the decision of the body conducting proceedings.

“In this case, the body conducting proceedings is the first instance court, but the latter hasn’t rendered a decision on restrictions. There are restrictions according to the decision rendered by an investigator two-and-a-half years ago,” he said.

The lawsuit was filed yesterday and has been inscribed to Judge Artsrun Mirzoyan.
