YEREVAN. – Gegham Gevorgyan, Chairman of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC), reported that as a result of certain steps, there has been a certain decline in the prices of face masks in Armenia, and there is hope that they will fall further. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated about this at Thursday's Cabinet meeting of the government.

"The SCPEC has now launched proceedings, and we hope, we are convinced that the process will continue; it’s about the price of [face] masks. I know that [wearing] masks being mandatory [in Armenia] is a social burden. But no one today says, 'Glasses are expensive, that's why I won't wear them.’ This, too, is like glasses because we are blind in this sense, and we don't know if the other person is infected [with COVID-19] or not,” he added.
