I have heard about the proposal to form a government of national accord, but, in my opinion, if there is such a proposal, ex-director of the National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan can hold a discussion with, say, Sasna Tsrer Pan-Armenian Party or the Republican Party of Armenia and make a specific proposal. This is what Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan told reporters today and promised to talk about the proposal during the Civil Contract Party’s board session whenever possible.

According to him, several political parties need to make a proposal to form a government of national accord, not just one political party. He recommended that all extra-parliamentary political parties, including Sasna Tsrer Pan-Armenian Party, the Republican Party of Armenia and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun political party join forces and make the proposal.

As for Artur Vanetsyan’s statement that there is an organized movement against the Armenian Apostolic Church, Alen Simonyan said there has never been any force or individual who has launched a movement against the Armenian Apostolic Church in Armenia.
