The 44-year-old resident of Ghaurma village in Ninotsminda municipality of the primarily Armenian-populated Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia, who was transferred to the Gori town military hospital on Tuesday, has tested positive for the coronavirus.

In a conversation with AliQ Media, Tigran Yeghoyan, the director of the Public Health Center of Ninotsminda, noted that a weak positive result was found in this person. "The patient is a virus carrier, but we can assume that this person is not contagious because has no symptoms. Four members of this person’s family will be transferred to the quarantine zone. As for the other residents of the [aforesaid] village, we are still waiting for instructions to carry out the assignments,” Yeghoyan added.
