Eight out of 10 voters believe that things are out of control in the US, NBC reported referring to its and the Wall Street Journal poll.

According to the poll, 80 percent of registered voters say things are out of control in the country.

The last year of Donald Trump’s first term was incredibly difficult: the US has faced the COVID-19 pandemic and the nationwide protests following the death of African-American George Floyd.

Nearly half of voters — 46 percent — describe the state of the economy as "poor," compared with 27 percent who said they're more concerned about the protests over Floyd's death.

The poll of 1,000 registered voters was conducted May 28 to June 2, and the overall margin of error is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
