Apple and Microsoft have become the first companies in history with the capitalization exceeding $ 1.5 trillion.

A historical record was set during trading on the NASDAQ exchange, Lenta reported.

American technology giants retain the status of the most expensive companies in the world and are growing - despite the decline in major indices, the NASDAQ, S&P 500, and Dow Jones.

Thus, Amazon's value has grown to $ 1.3 trillion, and Alphabet, the parent company of Google, has grown to one trillion.

According to Barron’s, this growth is due to investor confidence in the reliability of the shares amid the COVID-19 pandemic and mass protests in the US. Meanwhile, each of them won due to the key features of their business.

Microsoft turned out to be in demand technologies for transferring employees to remote work. Amazon made money by closing traditional stores and expanding e-commerce, while Alphabet made a profit from ads.

What comes to Apple, the cost increase is related to expectations about the release of the new iPhone with 5G.
