Cuba and Uzbekistan are negotiating to obtain observer status in the Eurasian Union, Armenian Deputy FM Shavarsh Kocharyan said during Thursday's debates on the 2019 state budget performance report.

According to him, now only Moldova has observer status.

“President of Moldova Igor Dodon participates in meetings of the Eurasian Union Supreme Council, but only in the open part," he noted.

As Kocharyan said, countries that want to obtain observer status commit themselves not to take actions that would harm any of the countries of the union.
