Russia remains Armenia’s main foreign economic partner. This is what Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Russia Sergey Kopirkin declared during an online press conference today, adding that Russia has 27% share of the total portion of Armenia’s foreign trade turnover and 51% share of the total amount of direct investments.

“In addition, 61% of foreign money transfers come from Russia. The activities of companies with Russian capital also remain a major factor for cooperation, and those companies are among Armenia’s large taxpayers,” he added. The ambassador also stated the importance of cooperation in the education sector and reminded that Russia allocates 200 quotas a year that Armenia’s applicants can benefit from.
