YEREVAN. – At Thursday's Cabinet meeting, the government approved the 22nd measure to neutralize COVID-19’s economic consequences in Armenia.

It was presented by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan, noting that the purpose of this measure is to assist the Armenian citizens who are facing social issues as a result of the difficulties in the labor market due to the spread of the coronavirus in the country.

The beneficiaries of this new measure shall be Armenian citizen individuals who had been working for an employer for at least 85 calendar days from January 1 to March 30, but were laid off from March 31 to June 1 and have not started another during the same period.

The respective assistance is to be provided in a lump sum, and in the amount of the minimum monthly salary: 68,000 drams.
