Head of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Serge Varak Sisserian and General Manager of VivaCell-MTS (MTS Armenia CJSC) Ralph Yirikian today signed a memorandum of mutual understanding online. According to the memorandum, the parties agreed to cooperate in the sectors of reproductive health and improvement of the demographic situation through the use of the latest technologies.

The “Barev Balik” (Hello Child) project, which is being implemented within the scope of the memorandum, envisages modernizing the public health system in Armenia, improving the quality of and access to services and information provided in the area of reproductive health and the health of mothers and children through the use of the latest technologies, as well as promoting the culture of fact-based decision-making. The beneficiaries of the project will be pregnant women, those who have problems with fertility and parents with children under the age of 6.

The project will be implemented by the Armenia National Sustainable Development Goals Innovation Lab, which is the initiative of the Government of Armenia and the United Nations and is backed by the UNDP in Armenia.
