YEREVAN. – Anna Hakobyan, the spouse of Armenia’s Prime Minister as well as chair of the board of trustee of the City of Smile charitable foundation, on Wednesday made a post on Facebook and published photos from the old building of Prof. R. Yolyan Hematology Center.

"The first three photos are the part of the old building of Prof. R. Yolyan Hematology Center that has not been renovated in recent decades (…).

And the next photos are the same building; the photos were taken yesterday.

At the initiative of the City of Smile charitable foundation, the building has been undergoing renovations for several months now, and the first department of palliative care for pediatric cancer will soon be established in Armenia.

The construction of this center is very important for those patients with cancer and blood diseases whom, unfortunately, medicine is still powerless to treat.

According to statistics, 70% of children with cancer and blood diseases are treated for cancer in the RA [Republic of Armenia] and Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh],” Hakobyan wrote, in particular.
