Suren Papikyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, on Wednesday paid a working visit to Gyumri to participate in the start of the second stage of the Gyumri City Roads program.

Along the lines of this second phase, 23 streets and adjacent sidewalks in Gyumri are planned to be renovated in 2020—and with funding from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The respective groundbreaking—with the participation of Minister Suren Papikyan, Shirak provincial governor Tigran Petrosyan and Gyumri Mayor Samvel Balasanyan—was held on two such streets.

The total cost of the Gyumri City Roads program is 23.84 million euros.
