There was nearly 30% higher mortality in Armenia in June of this year compared with June 2019. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said during a briefing held after the session of the Commandant’s Office today.

“We had informed that Armenia reported fewer deaths during the first five months of the year 2020 than last year, but unfortunately, the statistics have changed. Of course, this change isn’t completely linked to the coronavirus, but the current coronavirus situation essentially contributes to that,” the Prime Minister stated.
